Eric Delaney
Guitarist & Singer/Songwriter
Eric Delaney’s musical journey started with the cello — but hauling it through the snowy streets of Juneau, Alaska quickly lost its charm. When he picked up the guitar, everything clicked, and that connection has never let go.
A true child of the ’80s, Eric draws heavily from the spirit of the Grateful Dead and the grit of ’70s classic rock. His sound blends those roots with blues, folk, bluegrass, and improvisational jam, creating music that’s both timeless and alive in the moment.
Throughout the 1990s, Eric lived life on the road, sharing stages with an eclectic mix of artists including Anders Osborne, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Banyan (Stephen Perkins, Rob Wasserman, Willie Waldman), DJ Logic, John Popper, and Bob Weir.
Now based in the mountains, Eric continues to bring that collaborative spirit to the stage with Eric Delaney’s Taste Test — a revolving cast of top-tier musicians from across the country joining him for high-energy, funk-filled, groove-driven rock ’n’ roll jams.
Eric has been a driving force behind several bands, including Groove Union, Big Tasty, Jones Gang, Me and ED, and ED & Co.
Whether leading a band or hosting a rotating lineup of talent, Eric Delaney creates music rooted in tradition, built on collaboration, and designed to keep people dancing.
